Data Core Systems proudly took part in Locked Shields 2024, the globe’s most extensive cyber defense drill, hosted by the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defense Center of Excellence (CCDCOE). Cosmin Moldoveanu, Toma Stoica, Andrei Zaharia, and Șerban Slăvilă represented us in this esteemed event. As a prominent player in cybersecurity, we were thrilled to contribute to this renowned gathering, which drew over 4,000 participants from 40 nations, aimed at testing and enhancing member nations’ and partners’ readiness against significant cyber threats.
Throughout the exercise, teams engaged in a simulated Red Team vs Blue Team scenario. Blue Teams, consisting of NATO CCDCOE member nations and partners, worked to fend off simulated cyber-attacks while managing incident reporting, strategic decision-making, and tackling forensic, legal, and media-related challenges.
The primary goal was to defend the fictional nation of Berylia against intricate cyber threats simulated by adversaries. Beyond technical skills, the exercise provided training in legal, strategic, and communication tactics, ensuring comprehensive preparedness for real-world cyber conflicts.
This year’s simulation incorporated state-of-the-art neural network systems, reflecting the growing importance of artificial intelligence in modern cyber defense strategies.
In conclusion, Data Core Systems’ participation in Locked Shields 2024 not only fortified our reputation as a leader in cybersecurity but also underscored our commitment to advancing global cyber resilience. The insights and experience gained from this comprehensive exercise will significantly enhance our strategies and solutions, ensuring we remain at the forefront of protecting digital infrastructures against evolving cyber threats. We are proud of our team’s performance and look forward to continuing our collaboration with international partners to bolster cybersecurity defenses worldwide.
